AD 3D Printing

La nostra nazione raccoglie da sempre al suo interno numerose realtà aziendali e professionalità legate al settore del design e del product manufacturing.
In occasione del Fuorisalone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano 2014, presso il Temporary Museum for New Design, negli spazi espositivi SUPERSTUDIO GROUP verrà premiata la terza edizione dei CARBON FIBER DESIGN CONTEST – Material & 3DPrint, concorso nato dall'idea di sensibilizzare architetti, designer e maker all’utilizzo di tecnologie e materiali innovativi.
A tutti i partecipanti viene chiesto di ideare e progettare oggetti pensati per essere realizzati con le nuove tecniche di additive manufacturing e/o con materiali innovativi quali le fibre di carbonio.
Il concorso si divide in due sezioni. La sezione material si propone di sensibilizzare architetti, designer e creativi, all’utilizzo della fibra di carbonio nell’ambito del lighting design, sfruttando e valorizzando le caratteristiche tecniche proprie del materiale. La sezione 3DPrint mira a promuovere l’utilizzo delle tecnologie di additive manufacturing, nello specifico modellazione a deposizione fusa (FDM), nell’ambito del design e dell’artigianato. L’intento è ricercare forme inedite che si prestino ad essere realizzate con la “stampa 3D” e ne esaltino le peculiarità.
Presso il Temporary Museum for New Design, negli spazi espositivi SUPERSTUDIO GROUP in via Tortona, in occasione del Fuorisalone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano 2014 verranno premiati i progetti che si contraddistingueranno per originalità, funzionalità ed appeal estetico e gli oggetti vincitori saranno realizzati con la tecnologia “stampa 3D” FDM, con l’utilizzo di stampanti WASP all’interno dello spazio espositivo.
Il concorso è promosso dall’azienda Olympus-FRP® Brigante Engineering Group, specializzata in materiali compositi, fibre di carbonio, e nuove tecnologie al servizio dell’ingegneria e dell’architettura, in collaborazione con AD 3D Printing associazione che promuove l’utilizzo della “stampa 3D” con il patrocinio tra gli altri dell’ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, dell’Università degli Studi di Scienze Umane e Tecnologiche di Lugano, la Provincia ed il Comune di Milano.
Nelle due precedenti edizioni l’iniziativa ha avuto respiro e visibilità internazionali ed un fortissimo riscontro di partecipazione con oltre 500 progetti presentati da designer di tutta Europa ed è stato premiato nel 2012 a Milano nell’occasione del Fuorisalone del Mobile e nel 2013 a Napoli nell’occasione della tappa napoletana dell’America’s Cup.
Il concorso vede la partecipazione in giuria di importanti esperti nel mondo del design, della stampa 3D e dei materiali innovativi tra cui il Prof. Ing. Ignazio Crivelli Visconti dell’ Università Federico II Napoli, il Prof. Aldo Colonetti - Direttore Scientifico IED Italia, l’Ing. Domenico Brigante di Olympus-FRP, il Prof. Salvatore Cozzolino presidente ADI Campania, Gisella Borioli direttrice e CEO Superstudio Group e Massimo Moretti di WASP.

During the “Fuorisalone Milan Design Week 2014” in Milan at the Temporary Museum for New Design, in the exhibition spaces SUPERSTUDIO GROUP will be awarded the third edition of CARBON FIBER DESIGN CONTEST - Material & 3DPrint, born from the idea of raising awareness of architects, designers and makers of using innovative technologies and materials.
All participants are asked to conceive and design objects designed to be made ​​with the new techniques of additive manufacturing and / or innovative materials such as carbon fiber.
The competition is divided into two sections. The material section aims to raise awareness of architects, designers and creative to use carbon fiber in the field of lighting design, using and improving the technical features of the material. The section 3DPrint aims to promote the use of additive manufacturing technologies, specifically Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), in the field of design and handicraft. The purpose is to research new forms made ​​with the "3D printing" that enhance the properties of this technology.
At the Temporary Museum for New Design, SUPERSTUDIO GROUP, “Fuorisalone Milan Design Week 2014” in Milan will be awarded the projects that will mark for originality, functionality and aesthetic appeal and the objects winners will be realized ​​with the "3D printing" FDM technology, using WASP printers within the exhibition space.
The competition is sponsored by Olympus® FRP - Brigante Engineering Group , specializing in composite materials, carbon fibers, and new technologies for engineering and architecture, in collaboration with AD 3D Printing association that promotes the use of "3D printing" under the patronage of  ADI - Association for Industrial Design, University of Naples Federico II , University of Human Sciences and Technology of Lugano , the Province and the Municipality of Milan .
In the two previous editions, the initiative has had an international visibility and a very strong feedback with the participation of more than 500 projects submitted by designers from all over Europe and was awarded in 2012 in Milan in occasion of “Fuorisalone Milan Design Week 2012” and in 2013 in Naples during the “America’s Cup World Series”.
